Hello, I'm Marc, one of the founders at Live For Today.

I set up Live For Today back in 2012 with the vision of inspiring all ages of people to get into the great outdoors and have fun. The business has done just that but little did we know that we were also going to start our own personal adventure when we decided to home educate our children, starting over 4 years ago now.

This year has been a little bit of a rollercoaster and since Covid forced us all into Lockdown, I had the wonderful opportunity of sharing our home educating journey with the family. During this time Erin (aged 8) and I spent lots of time together, in the outdoors, learning, laughing and playing. It really brought back to me the importance of family, community, play, the magic of childhood, and the opportunity to just get out there and do something a little bit different. We had the stirrings of an adventure club pre-lockdown, and whilst we had the unexpected time together we've been able to come up with lots of great ideas to share. And we hope to start to be part of the community of home educators in our local community. Bring people together, make new friends, be in a safe space to play, have fun and learn.

Over the past few months we've honed our thoughts and finally the time is right to invite you to come and play with us! We really hope that you do! I'll be personally running each group session and look forward to meeting you then.

How it works?

Suitable for 8 - 12 year olds

Sessions will take place on Wednesdays, every 2 weeks from 10am until 12pm. These sessions are suitable for ages 8-12 years.

Situated in the lovely Ripley Castle Grounds, all the sessions will be focused on having fun, learning new skills and leaving inspired to learn more about outdoor adventures.

Every session will be different to the one before and focused around different elements, which will range from; Fire Lighting, Shelter Building, Canoeing, Climbing, Raft Building, Archery, High and Low Ropes, Navigation Skills, Code Breaking, Defuse The Bomb Challenge and so much more.

We want this to be a club where the kids are allowed to run free with their imagination and adventures.

Each session will last 2 hours and cost £12 per child.

Fantastic!
