Is there free parking?

Yes, we have free parking at Ripley Castle. Just make sure to register your car when you arrive. You can do it on the iPad at reception.

Do we have to book in advance?

We prefer advance bookings as you'll be guaranteed a spot, but walk-ins are welcome to our activity centres. You may just be turned away if we're fully booked. Book online first to avoid disappointment - bookings close 2 hours before a scheduled activity.

What time do you open?

All our activities are available 7 days a week between 9am and 5pm.

Absolutely! We believe adventures are best shared with our furry friends. Your dogs are welcome at our centres, making your outdoor experience even more memorable. For the safety and enjoyment of all adventurers, dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. We also ask that your dogs are well-behaved and friendly towards people and other dogs.

Do you provide lunch?

Lunch is not included in our activities and packages. Refreshments are available onsite at the Ripley Castle Tea Rooms, Grindhus Cafe or Ripley Store

Can I bring spectators?

Yes, spectators are allowed and more than welcome. Let them relax with a coffee while you take on your adventure.

Are changing rooms available?

Yes we have very basic areas for you to get changed in private. It is however best if you can come dressed and ready for the activity.

Is there an age limit?

Each activity has a different age limit. Please see the activities pages for more info.

Whats the largest group you can take?

With no major logistical planning, we can take groups of up-to 30 in size. We can take groups larger than this but would need to do a little more planning. See our groups pages for more information.

What is the smallest group you can take?

Most of our activities require a minimum of 2 people to book. Some activities however require a larger minimum amount to make a private booking. Please refer to each activity for more information.

How long does each activity take?

Each activity is different, please look in the activity section for more info.

Do I have to have experience in the activity before doing it?

No, all activities are designed to give the best experience whether you have done it before or not at all.

We had a brilliant time paddle boarding, the lake at Ripley is very scenic and we were lucky with the weather. Our younger daughter struggled to start with but the instructor was encouraging and she eventually got the hang of it. Highly recommend!
