What is the minimum age to take part?

We say that age 8 is the best time to start as they will be able to take part effectively. However, if you have younger children, you’re welcome to bring them along. Please note that the puzzles are tricky, and children are likely to struggle to answer them all by themselves without adult assistance.

Do I need previous experience?

No, we will provide you with all the relevant knowledge for navigating the course on the day.

What kit will I require?

We ask that you dress for the outdoors, including sturdy boots and comfortable clothes to run in.

Yes, of course you can, but isn’t that part of the adventure? If you're not back in the expected time, we will come looking for you. The Cryptic Chase takes place in a relatively contained area.

During the winter months, our courses can get muddy. However, we believe this is all part of the fun. We recommend wellies or boots with a good grip and clothes you don't mind getting muddy.

Fantastic time. We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. My family tackled the Cryptic Chase and all of us were able to take part with the puzzles. The castle grounds were beautiful so the walk along the trek was glorious. Would recommend this to anyone and would love to have another go at one of the other experiences.

Our children had loads of fun doing the challenging 'Cryptic Chase' around the gardens of the Castle. A great way to see the grounds & enjoy the challenge of cracking the clues. We followed this with an hilariously fun time in the 'Zorbs'. Games & acrobatics overseen by instructor Daz. Daz was brilliant at ensuring they all had a great time.
