What type of axe throws will we do?

Unlike other ranges, we won’t just leave you to it. Our instructors are on hand for the full session to teach you a variety of throws which include Single Arm, Double Arm, The Viking and Underarm, just to name a few!

Yes, our axes are the real deal and not the plastic ones you were used to as a kid. You will be learning how to throw these axes in a designed and controlled area with a fully trained instructor who will ensure you are safe at all times.

How strong do I need to be?

The Axes are a little heavy, however you don’t need to be superman to throw them successfully. We have had a mixture of groups successfully hit the target…some first time!

What is the minimum age to take part?

The minimum age to take part is 12 years old. Please note that some 12 year olds do struggle to throw the axes fully. We will always do our best to move the targets closer should this be a problem.

As with all of our activities we recommend you dress for the outdoors. We also recommend you wear sturdy footwear for axe throwing. Please reach out if you have any questions, we will be more than happy to help you further. Try to avoid restrictive clothing that could limit your range of motion. Also, avoid wearing jewellery, long scarves or anything else that might basically restrict your ability to move your body effectively.

Will there be other people on my session?

If you are a large group (6 or more) it is very likely you will have exclusive use of the range. However, if you are a smaller group then there is a chance other people may also be on your session. Don't worry though, we have plenty of axes for the increased competition.
